Gentler Option

As a 3D whole breast ultrasound system, SoftVue™ brings a safer and softer imaging solution, introducing a new approach to imaging the entire breast using sound and water. The exam is private and discreet, the breast is not openly seen during the scanning process and there is no compression and no radiation.

At Delphinus, we are working to assist physicians gain accurate information to better detect breast cancer where it can be the most challenging, in dense breast tissue. While developing better imaging science, we are striving for a better breast imaging experience for women. SoftVue has received FDA clearance for diagnostic imaging purposes and is not intended for use as a replacement for screening mammography.

 SoftVueTM Scan Sequence

Step One

Step One

Patient approaches SoftVue™ to lie on her stomach on the comfort-padded tabletop

Step Two

Step Two

She lowers one breast into the warm water of the imaging area

Step Three

Step Three

The Sequr™ breast interface engages with the front of her breast to center, shape, and steady it

Step Four

Step Four

The scan is activated, and the ring transducer moves along the breast, imaging all levels

Step Five

Step Five

When the first scan is complete, the patient raises slightly to prepare for the next scan

Step Six

Step Six

The patient lowers her other breast into the warm water imaging area, engaging with the Sequr™ breast interface

Step Seven

Step Seven

The scan starts and the ring transducer moves along the breast, imaging all levels

Step Eight

Step Eight

When the scan sequence is complete, the patient raises up, dries off, and steps off of SoftVue™

enhanced-safety

Enhanced Safety

SoftVue uses water and sound to capture a 360 -degree image of the breast. This offers women a safer and gentler option that does not compress the breast and delivers no radiation during the imaging process.

effective-women

Especially Dense Breasts

Dense breast tissue and cancer can look similar on mammograms, making cancers harder to detect in women with dense breasts using x-ray alone. Unlike mammography, SoftVue™ uses sound properties to detect cancerous masses within dense breasts.

exceptional-comfort

Exceptional Comfort

Subtle recessed lighting contours the SoftVue™ system, with a rainbow of selectable colors to match décor and mood, while an integrated footstep and softly-curved arches for hand placements offer a secure and easy approach to SoftVue™.

Unparalleled Technology

SoftVue™ features a padded table-top allowing for comfortable positioning as a woman lies on her stomach in preparation for breast imaging. Once on her stomach, the breast is immersed in warm water. A soft gel guide then engages with the front of the breast to center, shape and steady it during the procedure, maximizing tissue access and optimizing the breast profile during image capture.

The exam takes 2-4 minutes per breast, and when finished, a woman simply lifts up and dries off her breast.

SoftVue™ incorporates the use of water and sound waves to create an image of the breast. The breast is immersed in water then a circular imaging ring that emits soundwaves moves around the breast creating images doctors to scan for potential cancerous tumors. No radiation is used so the exam can be available to women of all ages, and has no frequency limits as radiation-based imaging tests do. SoftVue™ has received FDA clearance for diagnostic imaging purposes and is not intended for use as a replacement for screening mammography.
